Seriously, there is more. (Archive #7)

[Archive #7--Originally sent February 15, 2007]

David and the Citizens:
http://www.myspace.com/davidandthecitizens . I heard of these guys a while back and have no idea why I never sent them out. Listen to "Graycoated morning" or "Song against Life"(please excuse the one bad word...it's not my fault, david said it)...or well, them all. He reminds me of a combination of Badly Drawn Boy and Bright Eyes.

The Broken West: http://www.myspace.com/thebrokenwest . Listen to...anything, they're great. Ask me why I didn't send these guys out 6 months ago. I have no idea.

Harsh Krieger:
www.myspace.com/harshkrieger . Seriously, check him out. This is more rock pop then I'm used to but I still like them as an alternative to my normal kexp type music. Listen to Holy Moses. Then go to a better site and listen while not being annoyed by myspace... http://www.purevolume.com/harshkrieger .

Speechwriters LLC : http://www.myspace.com/speechwritersllc . Listen to Hostage or anything really...also on iTunes: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?playListId=97598414 . Also on purevolume: http://www.purevolume.com/speechwritersllc . As a side note, I swear I've heard the lead vocals in another band before. If you can identify that band I'll buy you a pony.

Joseph Arthur: http://www.josepharthur.com/index.htm . He has a radio link on the right side of the page...also a purevolume: http://www.purevolume.com/josepharthur .Great listen...thanks Jason for the find.

Thomas Cunningham : http://www.myspace.com/thomascunningham . Sounds like Richie Cunningham, but is not. Listen to "Swell" or "The Bottle of Wine" or "Rachel"...the other song is just a bit sillypants.

Ted Leo and the Pharmacists: Has an interesting post indie-punk sound...definitely all upbeat and deserves a two song minimum listen. Listen here: http://www.myspace.com/tedleo ...download many songs here: http://www.tedleo.com/2 . http://www.purevolume.com/tedleothepharmacists (no songs here as of it)

Denison Witmer: http://www.purevolume.com/denisonwitmer . www.myspace.com/denisonwitmer . (on myspace listen to little flowers first, then rest on both) Got a Sufjan type sound with more fill instruments...definitely worth a listen if not a buy.

Eric Hutchinson : I've sent this guy a while back but during that time I bought his live album off iTunes (the only album on iTunes of his) and I have to say it was well worth the 6.93 I spent.

Obadiah Parker: http://www.myspace.com/obadiahparker . Great rendition of "Hey Ya" (Outkast). PV: http://www.purevolume.com/obadiahparker . Thanks for this one Jason

The Librarians: http://www.myspace.com/librarians . I go back and forth with these guys but their alternative beats keep me coming back.

Wild Sweet Orange: http://www.myspace.com/wildsweetorange .

Pufferfish: http://www.myspace.com/thepufferfish . I think I like this one, but like the above more.
